John & Lynn Cunningham
Bio:
John and Lynn have been married since September 1979 and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They have served in the ministry since 1984. John pastored a church in Georgia for 17 years and Lynn served as a Christian school teacher and part of the administrative team at Colonial Hills Christian School. John and Lynn began to bring mission groups from the school to the DR in 2008. After seeing the DR Vision team working together, using their passions and gifts, they began to pray as to how the Lord might use them to be a part of the vision. In 2010, they came to the DR to seek the Lord’s guidance and discovered that He had a plan for them to serve alongside the other missionaries by John working with Dominican pastors to help them start a church and to mentor them along the way, to work physically to grow the ministry on Visionland and/or become the project manager for different needs in other ministry areas. Lynn would commit to working in the school as a teacher or to be used in administration. It was soon obvious that Allison, the founder of Las Palmas, was eager and ready to use her passion for women at risk in a more focused way and Lynn would then take over where Allison left off and become the Director of Las Palmas.Ministry:
