Jesse & Brittney Simoneaux
Bio:
In May of 2011 Jesse and Brittney met serving together at the Nicholls St. University BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Between falling in love and seeking God together, they were married on December 31, 2011. Through discipleship, they both learned early in their walk the importance of being missional, sharing the Gospel, and storing the words of their savior Jesus Christ in their hearts from Matthew 9:37: “The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few.” In 2009, Jesse went on his first mission trip and knew from that trip that God had called him to serve in missions some way or another. In 2011, Brittney served in the Dominican Republic on her first mission trip and understood her call to missions as well. That trip was the beginning of a long lasting relationship with Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC) and Iglesia Bautista Evangélica de Macoris (IBEM). For the next 12 years they served as short term missions leaders at IBC of Morgan City, Louisiana, equipping and mobilizing teams to be able to serve the people of Dominican Republic. On those many different trips they have had the opportunity to serve in construction projects, share their testimonies, serve Las Palmas School, the Mercy ministries, the Vision Land, IBEM and refresh the missionaries on the field. In November of 2022 while serving at IBEM on a short term trip, the call changed from short term to full time. With three of their four kids and a great love for the people of Dominican Republic, they are going to serve and be a part of the DRVision full-time. Jesse plans to use his 20 plus years in construction and problem solving skills to help develop the Vision Land and serve IBEM. He’s focused on building relationships to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost, through love and service. With her gifts of nurturing and listening, Brittney plans to serve her family, Las Palmas, and the Mercy ministry. Together they also plan to serve by opening up their home to small groups, cooking and sharing life with others. Their three youngest kids will be attending Las Palmas School. Caleb is 10 years old and with a big heart of compassion, is excited to see where God would have him serve. Abigail is 7 years old and is a little shy but excited to meet new friends. Johnnie Ann is 6 years old and is a wrecking ball of excitement, ready to learn Spanish. Their oldest son, Kason, is graduating high school soon and plans on joining the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. Later he plans to go and serve on short term trips to the D.R. as he also shares the same heart for missions. Over the past 12 years God has been preparing their family for this call. Developing a worldview and a compassion for the lost. They are eager to join in the work of God and be a part of the growth of the DRVision. Join them in prayer as they answer the call to serve God in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.Ministry:
