Jason & Sarah Sykes

Bio:

The Sykes family has been serving as missionaries since 2015. Their first field of service was in Venezuela. Although the political and economic situation was difficult in Venezuela, the Sykes were able to partner with Venezuelan nationals and have a part in three different church plants during their four years of service in Venezuela.  The Sykes had to leave the field in Venezuela due to political unrest and came to the Dominican Republic after Gary Hale reached out to them.  They have been serving with DR Vision since August 2020 and  have integrated well with the ministry team in San Pedro de Macoris.  They love serving alongside their brothers and sisters in Christ.  The Sykes’ passion is discipleship. They have seen profound spiritual transformation through life-on-life investment. They still maintain active contact with many people they have discipled in Venezuela. The Sykes love to use their home and hospitality to build relationships and open relational doors for the sake of the gospel and discipleship. 
The Sykes children also serve alongside their mom and dad and are involved in various ministries. Samuel plays guitar for our worship team, Ellie sings with the praise group, Jude plays percussion, and Luke serves behind the scenes in the sound booth.  The Sykes would summarize the focus of their ministry as “making disciples who make disciples.”
